So today must have been my lucky day - "my" fireflies song played 3 times at least on the radio .... I saw several Jeep Wranglers and several guys in uniform (military that is) .... smiles anyone?! SIGNS perhaps?? Only time will tell ....
Well, Christmas certainly came and went! I ended up enjoying Panic room and after that went to bed. Got up Christmas Day to 300+ messages on my phone and ate and showered before church which was surprisingly not as packed as I'd expected. Eventually got thru most of my messages on my phone between unwrapping gifts (got some great stuff : ] ) and making two dishes of green bean casserole (my favorite!) before heading out to Grandpa's.
Their house was festive as always : ) Lots of food and fun and laughter! TONS of food really. Pretty much the saying goes "if you leave here hungry it's your own durn fault!" .... we were going to play White Elephant but that didn't happen so we're waiting for another month (Super Bowl Sunday) to do that. Opened the gifts that were there and shared lots of stories. Eventually headed downstairs to the game room where Grandma and dad were playing pool. Two of my aunts and mom and one of my uncles and sister ended up playing CashFlow for a while before 8:30 PM hit and then we four went home.
After unpacking the new car of mom's we packed my stuff up and went to her girlfriends house to pick up something (it was raining and in the element) and then my mom dropped me off where my car was. I then was going to go to the grocery but realized it would be closed so I headed home and then realized I forgot a few bags and went back to my parents place and picked that up and then came home for good and watched some of House MD. Eventually went to bed and waited til about 945 to get up this morning. Just didn't care. Watched more of House before heading here to the library and shortly I'll be off to the grocery (since they're open) and then closing at work. So more later : )
Oh what a few days it`s been! I`ve been keeping busy with plans with friends and family .... including starting a new tradition : ) So we shall see how that goes .... other than working tho I`ve reconnected with some friends {and got to see one girlfriend I haven`t seen in 3 years!} and that`s been good .... tonight I`m staying with my parents and sister, have been with them since 11 AM .... got my car gas tank filled up {Thank You!!} and I plan to put in $5 every week at least just to keep it above a half tank especially while the winter months are here ....
Last night I was at my Aunt and Uncle`s house and we watched The Nightmare Before Christmas and decided that we should do the get-together once a month ....
And tomorrow is Christmas Day .... going to open gifts before church and then go to my grandparents house for the afternoon and evening .... earlier today there was the Shop party and we bowled after lunch til it got to be too much for some {as a few kids under 10 joined} and by 3 PM we were back and mom did some laundry so I`ve been in my jammies since .... dinner was pizza .... and then I watched Liar Liar and now they`re watching the end of It`s A Wonderful Life {my LEAST favorite movie} while I attempt to focus on Panic Room - which obviously isn`t going too well haha ....
So anyways .... I hope all of you are having a safe beginning to your weekend! Please be careful and don`t drink and drive and don`t forget that the weather is supposed to be rough tonight .... and have FUN! But more later .... getting sleepy ....

So last night was fun LOL .... Dinner was on me - my girlfriends husband made the brats that I bought and we watched Julie and Julia with another of our girlfriends that came over and after that it was already midnight so we headed to bed .... woke up this AM at 645 and headed to DC Brew for coffee - she got a cappuccino and I got a hot chocolate - and then we headed to the JC Hall .... waited in line for about an hour before they opened the door and we started taking numbers and everything started going smoothly .... I ended up being able to get the stuff I was there for for a different girlfriend AND I was able to get stuff for my own kids : ) So that was cool! Also got to see a few friends I haven't seen in a few weeks too!
And then we headed back to her house where we are right now .... she made eggs and sausage and toast for lunch and before that I had a bowl of cheerios and some other cereal like Post or whatever .... and now the kids are down for naps and some family and friends have been calling and texting so I guess eventually I'll be heading to see a few soon ....

So now I'm off work til Sunday afternoon .... spending the night with a girlfriend and her family cooking dinner (brats, taco salad, German potato salad .... ) and I'm staying over so that tomorrow AM when we head to TFT (Toys for Tots) I don't have to do anything but be here : )
Not much has really been happening. Lots of work which is fine. But more later, got to go distract an almost 2 year old so his younger sister will stop crying : )
SO I havent blogged much in the past few days .... been busy working and getting ready for this weekends trip and as the days progress with this snow and talk of a blizzard Im quite nervous! We shall see how it all goes .... things are still of the weather and family styff and Im in a few family programs here in town that has some Christmas fun Im half participating so thats kwwping me busy as well .... anyways Im finally tieed enough to try to sleep and liaten to the noise of the downtown weather while AI pray for a friend whom I KNOW IS CURRENTLY OUT RIGHT NOW WITH HIS BROTHER PLOWING SO God willing theyll be ok .... more later and eventually ILl fix this post when I CAN ACTUALLY READ WHAT IM typing. This all caps thing isnt doing it for me either LOL ....
